It's been almost a year since Leila and I randomly crossed paths, saving each other's lives when I adopted her. We're both survivors, Southern Girls that have found happiness in New York City. She brings a smile upon my face every day, seeing her expressive doe eyes filled with love and gratitude. She is truly a blessing. I know it was fate that brought us together. When all else seems to fail and the world appears to be falling apart in all directions, unconditional love is always there to brighten the day. Amazing friends and family get us through the sadness.
