Cyberstalker update

The internet has a dark side. Sadly, I've noticed it's becoming more and more volatile. It’s a place where people can become trolls, attempting to harm peoples’ lives and reputations.

The past few months, I remained as silent as I could in a public forum regarding something that comes up on the first page of my Google search. Under an untraceable false identity and fake name, someone posted a creepy and very disturbing post full of lies about my life, actions, and personal character. There's really nothing I could do, as the "ripoff" website allows people to anonymously cause trouble while hiding behind their computers. The website also pockets money from innocent people when they attempt to remove libelous posts. I refuse to waste money on such garbage.

At first, I was concerned about the detrimental effect this could have on my career and reputation when people who don’t know me personally do a Google search. That's why I initially wrote this blog post. I felt it was time to stand up for myself and others who have been targets of cyberstalking. My family and friends have been amazing in showing emotional support. As they have pointed out, the lies this person posted are so ridiculous and far-fetched that “nobody will believe it.” I agree, wholeheartedly. And in regards to the cyberstalker, I truly hope the person gets the help they clearly need and stops trying to harm innocent people.

I'm focused on love, light, and happiness. At the end of the day, I'm grateful to be a stronger more enlightened person.

What's on your mind?
